BACK TO SCHOOL
That's right - it's the most wonderful time of the year! While
this is typically stated or even sang during the winter/Christmas
holiday time, parents and care givers mimic this sentiment as they count
down the days until the children return to school. Stanley
teachers have been working hard this summer at in-services, workshops,
and on college courses as they prepare to welcome back the children.
It may be hard to believe, but teachers also welcome the back to school
"bug". They are ready to get started on the rewarding work that
they will do for the next ten months. While some are coming
straight from college, and others are returning to a job well done - all
are ready to dive in and begin that all important work of helping to
make your child ready for the tasks they will take on this school year.
Be sure to attend Meet Your Teacher Night and look for us on your door
step; both activities taking place next week! See you then!

Site Council & PTO
WANTS YOU
Stanley Elementary Site Council and PTO invites you to be an active
partner in the education of your child. We want your great ideas
and input! Participation is FREE. There is no jointer fee or
monthly dues. We have room for additional members on both
organizations. The Site Council and PTO typically meet the first Monday of
every month in the Stanley library. The Site Council meeting
starts at 4:45 p.m. and the PTO meeting follows immediately at about
5:15 p.m. These two organizations play a very important part in
budget items, teacher needs, building needs, dress code, and discipline
policy, just to name a few. Please consider giving some of your
time to one or both of these two very instrumental service
organizations.
