Welcome to Stanley Elementary!  First and foremost, we are happy to serve you and your children.  Our mission is to use whatever means are necessary to ensure student success in learning.  The staff at Stanley is dedicated to assisting each child in meeting the standards of their grade level.  We have high expectations for our students.  With high expectations comes high achievement and success.  We believe that reading is one of the most important skills for achievement in school and life experiences.  We encourage, motivate and reward students for reading at school and at home.  Our goal is for every Stanley student to read on grade level by the end of third grade.  Reading is Magic at Stanley!
 
The area of mathematics is our strength.  Stanley students met the State Standard of Excellence in Math for 2005.  Our staff uses active engagement and real life problem solving in teaching math.  Students learn math through “Investigations” which involve them in finding reasonable solutions to real life problems.  Learning math is fun at Stanley!
 
Finally we believe that all students can succeed!  The Stanley pledge is recited daily to remind students that if they work hard they can and will learn!  The school wide discipline plan encourages and rewards “STAR” behavior.  Stanley students are STARS by Striving To Achieve and be Respectful, Responsible, Stallions.  Character education teaches and emphasizes the traits of respect, responsibility, self-discipline, caring and integrity.  Staff, parents and students collaborate in all of our endeavors to ensure that Stanley students are successful!  We invite you to join us in our efforts to assist our students in learning.
